ELF BAR Not Working, Blinking or Not Hitting: Fixes
A blinking light usually means the battery is flat or the device is empty. Charge it if it has a charging port; if it still blinks or tastes burnt once charged, the e-liquid has run out.
The light is blinking
- Flat battery: charge it for about an hour if your device has a USB Type-C port (Trio 40K, Raya D3 Pro 30000, Ice King 30000, Raya D3 25000, BC10000, Pi9000, TE6000 and BC5000).
- Empty: if the light blinks while charged, or the taste turns weak or burnt, the e-liquid has run out. Devices with a screen show the e-liquid level.
- Not rechargeable: the EW9000 and EP8000 have no charging port. When the light blinks, the battery is done.
- Long puffs: drawing for more than about 8–10 seconds can trip the safety cut-off. Stop, wait a moment and take a shorter puff.
It is not hitting
- Remove every sticker and silicone cap from the mouthpiece and the base. A missed sticker blocks the airflow sensor.
- Puff gently. A hard draw can flood the sensor; a soft, steady draw works better.
- Blow lightly into the mouthpiece, then tap the device on your hand to clear any liquid in the airflow.
- If it has adjustable airflow, open it a little wider.
- Leave it upright at room temperature for a few minutes if it has been in the cold or in direct sun.
It tastes burnt
A burnt taste almost always means the wick is dry: the e-liquid is nearly or fully used. Chain-vaping (many puffs in a row) can also burn the wick before it soaks up more liquid, so give it a few seconds between puffs.
It is leaking or gurgling
A little condensation is normal. Wipe the mouthpiece, blow gently into it and store the device upright. Do not use a device that leaks e-liquid from the body.
